The Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) is set to commemorate its 43rd Anniversary this June, under the theme “Advancing Together: Embracing Innovation for Sustainable Growth and Regional Integration.” This milestone will be marked by several key events and initiatives aimed at enhancing communication and fostering regional unity.
A significant highlight of the celebrations is the launch of OECS French digital platforms. These platforms are designed to improve communication with French-speaking citizens of Martinique and Guadeloupe. The Anniversary activities are as follows: 1. May 28 to June 6 OECS in the Classroom School Campaign 2. June 1 OECS French Digital Platforms Launch: 3. June 10 OECS Thanksgiving Service: at Benedictine Nuns Mount of Prayer, Coubaril, Saint Lucia 4. June 14 OECS Sports Desk Documentary Premiere: featuring Joseph ‘Reds’ Perreira 5. June 16 OECS Fun Walk in Saint Lucia 6. June 18 OECS Colours Day: with citizens encouraged to wear the OECS colors of green, yellow, white, and navy blue These activities are said to underscore the OECS's commitment to innovation, sustainable growth, and deeper regional integration.
